  1. Except not. This is conflating two distinct things. Induced seismicity has been present near disposal wells in areas without major frac jobs anywhere near, or associated with them.

    This includes class I injection wells at water treatment plants and other industrial or gas storage areas not at all related to oil production.

  2. Considering most faults are 30+ miles deep, it’s kind of difficult to say a well that is less than 3 miles deep hit something another 27 MILES deeper
