The three last Apollo missions, Apollo 15, 16 and 17 brought [lunar rovers](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4d/NASA_Apollo_17_Lunar_Roving_Vehicle.jpg) to the surface of the Moon. The lunar rover was stored on the lunar lander for the ride to the Moon. Lunar rovers weighed 210 kg (463 lbs) and the farthest distance traveled with one was 35.9 km (22.3 mi) during Apollo 17.
