Went out to a place I’ve been told about a few times before but have never been able to make it myself – juts 1 hour from home and basically completely dark skies. Went out in the station wagon, forgot my tent but had the sleeping bag at least, camped out on the side of the road which actually ended up being a field full of sheep and lambs and took a few photos hoping for a clear night. Got much more than I thought I would; aurora, zodiac light and meteors leaving smoke trails all made an appearance through the night, and the camera survived to boot
Canon 6d
Sigma 20mm 1.4 art
Manfrotto 055xprob tripod
Movement by SYRP iso 3200 (by the end)
15 second exposures
~850 frames total (one battery life)
